Emergency Procedures
- In case of an emergency for any reason, please call 911.
- Give your name, location (Oregon State Fairgrounds), lot color/name and your RV number.
- Turn on your headlights, emergency flashers, and have a neighbor stand-by to direct the emergency personnel to your site.
- Call the Executive Committee member on-call. (Number will be posted when available.)
YOUR RV NUMBER MUST BE PROMINENTLY DISPLAYED ON YOUR RV SO EMERGENCY PERSONNEL CAN LOCATE YOUR RV AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
Severe Weather
By far, the best method to remain aware of threatening conditions is NOAA weather radio. The local frequency is 162.475 MHz. We are in Marion County, and the SAME code is 041047. The Oregon State Fairgrounds also has sirens and a public address system. In case of severe weather you should proceed to the Jackman-Long Building.
- It is recommended that you secure awnings, flags, and all loose items around your RV.
- Pets may be taken to the building, but you must be prepared to accommodate their needs.
- Any time there is bad weather, you may proceed to the Jackman-Long Building even if no warning has been issued or you feel unsafe in your RV.
Security
- The Oregon State Fair and Exposition Center is a very secure and safe place, but it is always best to take necessary precautions to protect your property.
- It is recommended that you keep all your RV compartments locked, as well as your vehicle.
